Sega Dreamcast Dial-up/E-mail Instructions

The Dreamcast browser contains many different configuration options, each of which you can reach from the Command Cluster Icon. Use these options to enter personal information essential to accessing you Comteck Internet account and email.

After choosing the Options Icon, you will need to choose what Options you wish to view and change: Select one of the Options categories or press "Save" to store all of your Option adjustments. Select the category with the A Button. You will then see one of the displays described below. To exit these displays, press the START Button. If you want to exit the Options menu without saving any changes, press the START Button or press the Save button to save your selected options so that they take effect.

INTERNET CONNECTION

Basic Info.-

Your Real Name: Your first and last name.

User Login: Your username. (MUST be in lower case letters)

Password: Your password. (MUST be in lower case letters)

Dial Up Number: Enter you local Comteck dial-up number.

Backup Number: Leave blank.

Primary DNS: 209.45.185.5

Secondary DNS: Leave blank.

Dial Options-

Area Code- Not required for a local call.

Long distance call prefix: Again, not used unless calling long distance.

Outside dial prefix: Example would be to dial a 9 to access outside line.

Dial: Choose tone or pulse for dial.

Dial area code: Most leave blank unless you are dialing us long distance.

EMAIL ACCOUNT

Email login: Enter you Comteck username in lowercase letters.

Email password: Enter your Comteck password in lowercase letters.

Email Address: yourusername@comteck.com all in lowercase letters.

Incoming Server: mail.comteck.com all in lowercase letters.

Outgoing Server: mail.comteck.com all in lowercase letters.
